IMPORTANT PTLLS update

One of the reasons for lack of news recently is how busy I have been delivering PTLLS courses. Everybody seems to be waking up to this as a benchmark qualification for trainers and buying in to it.
The in-house course concept has really taken off and I have been to all sorts of organisations, all around the UK meeting some great folk and some brilliant trainers. I love my job and doing these courses is tops.
I have also heard many a tale of woe from vocational trainers who have signed on a PTLLS course at college. Best case 12 weeks and worst case I have heard is one academic year. I have heard the worst about being taught things that are totally useless to us in vocational training, so if you want to learn about OFSTED and initiatives like Every Child Matters, important as they are in further education, please go to college.
PTLLS is now mandatory for Military trainers and other sections of industry have voluntarily adopted it as their standard, such as the whole of the security industry, McDonalds, Construction Plant Competency Scheme and others. I am also hearing that organisations and trade organisations are now not insisting you do their instructors courses if you hold a PTLLS ticket.
LLUK are now consulting employers about how to implement the new scheme within our world and employers are being accredited to manage and qualify their staff just like an awarding body would have in the past – IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHAT IS GOING ON PLEASE MAIL US FOR AN INFORMATION SHEET.
