Due to very increased demand we have had to change our structure. My wife Sally has left her permanent employment with Lantra Awards to take up her directorship with the company, hurrah some help I thought. She promptly set up her own consultancy company called Sector Scheme Services Ltd, and will be helping Lantra Awards, and Marksman when she can. So I would like to introduce you all to our new Systems Manager - Vicky Walker. Vicky left her employment as the office manager of a very busy company to pursue her own path. As well as managing our systems Vicky runs her own company providing holistic therapies and beauty treatments called Pure Serenity please check her web site at www.pure-serenity.co.uk (She does gift vouchers guys - easy present!!). Vicky can be contacted at vicky@marksmanservices.co.uk. For any slow payers or returners of work I have a new call - 'Release the Vicky' - it's not pure serenity, but awesome to watch!!
Which brings me on to our training delivery. We now have an associate trainer in John Bennett. John has a very similar pedigree to me but specialised in close protection (Bodyguard) as well as all the other stuff we used to do. His cunning plan of buying a house overlooking the sea in Pembroke and sitting on his thumb did not quite work surprisingly. After he had done up two houses he realised he was bored. Luckily for me he wanted to get back in to training and work with me again, he is just too good not to, and a really nice bloke as well. He has started to deliver close protection courses, and is offering other training for the security industry. He is an expert in conflict, communications and related matters so he is a welcome member of the team.
I also have another quality trainer lined up to associate with us mid year, he wishes to remain anonymous at the moment as he is trying to blag a couple of courses for himself before he leaves. Needless to say he also has a similar background to John and I, but for another force. He is another top bloke you will enjoy meeting.
We are also chatting with another two or three potential associates in other areas of training so we can maybe broaden our services for you. I will keep you posted on that score as well. We have more really exciting developments in the pipeline as well. When they happen I will let you know what they are, thinking about it I will let you know when Sally and Vicky tell me it has happened, I used to be in charge here, but I know my place.
