IMPORTANT BITS AND PIECES
15 Mar 2010
I really enjoyed the open PTLLS course at Rodbaston 1st-5th March, once again it was a brilliant mix of people from all sorts of occupational backgrounds who all got along really well, friendships were formed, fun learning, and usual random mix of really fun and interesting deliveries. It seems that the biggest representative group for alternative and holistic therapists have decided that to deliver any of their courses you need PTLLS and some of them have found us which is great. We are all being taught about hand massage, head massage, aromatherapy and other stuff. I am still waiting for the Hopi ear candles whatever they are, and other stuff. It was a bit random watching alternative therapists and people from other sectors being taught self defence though. I think this course may have the record as all 12 of them decided to complete the written assignments whilst on the course so I walked away with 12 complete portfolio's ready to process, which is fantastic.
I have also been back at the National Police Improvement Agency (their version of OFSTED) delivering PTLLS with some more really interesting and fun people.
I have also been working with a quality company called TMS, Traffic Management & Safety Limited, www.tmsconsultancy.co.uk. They asked me to develop a one day train the trainer course, to deliver on their behalf, for the Devon Road casualty Reduction Partnership. I was a little unsure how much I could do in one day, but it works really well and the feedback has been great. Pity it is not summer I could go to the seaside and have chips.
I am looking forward to next week, I am delivering a PTLLS course for a drug and alcohol team in the police, and guess what - I get to stay at home because it is commutable which is a result.
The open course in April is pretty much full so any final requests will be considered.
Take care
Mike
