Seasons Greetings
Posted: 21 Dec 2011
Hi all - I have been reflecting on 2011 and it has been a strange but rewarding year. Business has been good despite the recession with a definite upsurge in the latter half of the year, and once again I have met and worked with some fantastic people. I thank you all for your energy and commitment, I enjoyed it. That has been the rewarding bit.
The strange bit happened in the summer when I had a second total knee replacement. I remember the day about 6 weeks after the op when I thought to myself - "I am in no pain" which was a shocker. It now feels really normal to be able to work and not be in pain so I am well fired up for 2012 health wise. Total git getting through airport security though.
Talking of 2012 I already am excited about the work I have booked in, as I know I am really going to enjoy it. I call it work but I saw something on the internet the other day I can relate to. During a visit to a micro-brewery which was a one man band, the owner was asked how many hours a week he worked running the place on his own. He replied "Oh about an hour and a half" seeing the confused looks he was getting he went on to say "I only consider it to be work when I am doing something I don't enjoy so much". I totally get that.
Last registrations for the 6 credit 7303 PTLLS are 31st January 2012 so anyone registering after that will be on our new 12 credit 6302 PTLLS programme. I am currently developing that and will update the site as and when I have some stuff. Anyone wishing to register before the deadline for an in-house course please get in touch urgently so I can make it happen. I have some other exciting collaborations and ideas to develop, but I will tell you about that next year as and when they happen.
Finally Seasons Greetings to anyone reading this, I wish for you all a peaceful Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year. I am looking forward to working with you.
Take care
Mike
