Conflict Management
This half day package explores by discussion the dynamics of conflict and diffusion tools and the practical application of the learning. This works really well as a one day event in conjunction with our Personal Safety package.
Aim
To teach strategies that will enable delegates to interact with members of the public and colleagues more effectively
Objectives
By the end of the session delegates will:-
- Describe confrontation
- Discuss the effects of ineffective communication
- Understand the process of communication modes
- Describe and discuss the workings of conflict models
- Identify best practice when dealing with confrontation and conflict
Assessment method
This module is certificated when a delegate attends the session. There is the option of clients requesting an end of session written test for their own records if required, which is a multi choice question examination with a 70% pass mark.

Target audience
Staff members who interact with others as a representative of their organisations, and may find themselves falling within the HSE definition of violence in the workplace.
