Personal Safety
During this half day session we will achieve learning by discussion, demonstration and the use of soft anchoring techniques (similar to t'ai chi) to embed techniques. This works really well as a one day event in conjunction with our Personal Safety package.
This package has been described as much of a team building event as a learning experience.
Aim
To teach delegates skills and strategies to defuse verbal, and physical, contact in the workplace.
Objectives
By the end of the session candidates will:-
- Discuss the importance of a personal safety zone and environments
- Demonstrate maintaining a reactionary gap
- Demonstrate effective use of verbal defusion
- Demonstrate effective breakaway techniques

Target audience
Staff members who interact with others as a representative of their organisations, and may find themselves falling within the HSE definition of violence in the workplace.
